Now, looking at the acheivements on steam, "Master" is getting to level 50...

Is that the cap? I'm level 24 already and put 38 hours in and loving it. I put my skill points into destruction and restoration mostly, and conjuration, and enchanting, and alchemy, and arhery....and one handed...and blocking...

Should i be specializing in specific things?

I really and truthfully just want to be able to do everything, but magic is facsinating and i love combat with it.

At this rate, I'm thinking i'll run out of perks if the cap is 50....

Also, can you still level up skills after you hit the cap? Is it even worth it?

PS: never played an elder scroll game, but i've played fallout and other rpgs.

There is not a level cap in Skyrim per se. You can level all your skills to 100 but would take forever. If you did the math you would end up somewhere around 80.


You will run out of perk points after this since there are almost 200 perks in the game.

It would seem that you max out your perk points at 50.

Which kind of svcks, becase that means you can only really be proficient at 4 or 5 skills, so you really have to specialize.


You can do more, but you miss out on high level perks that are useful.

I would recommend perking only what you think you will get the most good out of, and leave it at that.

I heard you can get around 80 perks, cause you get one everytime your level up and some quest give you perks. Not sure if this is true but I read it on a couple sites. Personally, I do not see myself playing the game with more than one character, so it would be nice if I could specialize in around 7-8 skills. But it seems like you can only do 5-6
