Leveling Glitch - Stolen Xbox

Post » Wed Dec 05, 2012 7:12 pm

Long story short, my Xbox was stolen with harddrive containing my precious skyrim data and now after purchasing the new DLC, I booted up Skyrim and realized I do not have my saved files any longer.

I dont have nearly as much time as I did when the game first came out, and I would really just like to play the DLC.

I remember hearing about a glitch using some type of book. Does this still work even with the latest patches? I can search YouTube for the actual process.

If you come in to this thread to bash on me, so be it, realize its my time not yours. I hope some of you can understand this dilemma and just answer the question for me if you have used this method lately.

With the Oghma Infinium? This should have been posted in the hints/spoilers/tips section, but for the sake of an answer, just google the OI glitch and you'll find everything from walkthroughs to YouTube videos.

EDIT: IIRC, you'll need to be level 15 to start the Blood Harvest required in order to obtain the OI. And a house (i.e Breezehome) that has a usable bookcase. And about 15 minutes (real-time) if you intend to level all the way to 100).

You mean the Oghma Infinium glitch - yes, it still works and you can find out how on YouTube, but you have to be level 15 to finish the necessary quest and by that time you might be ready for the DLC anyway...

I was getting my butt handed to me at level 17 in Dragonborn. Started a new guy now just to try and get a few decent pieces of kit before exploring the DLC again ;)

Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. I cant tell you the feeling last night when I sat down with a nice brewskie and realized my entire Skyrim history vanished. My character was boss.
