I am leveling too fast on the PS3

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 2:23 am

Hello,

I earn level far too quickly to my taste as I like to do a lot of side-questing (a problem I encountered in FO3 too) and a bit of craft to sustain my combat skills. I am earning 2-3 level by quest just with stealth/archery alone and that is too much to my taste. Is it anyway to slow down the leveling when you play on the console ?

Regards,

Ike.

You don't have to level, i think you only level when you look at your skills. Just ignore that menu and it should be as if you never leveled at all!

It starts to slow down a bit around level 15.

I know what you mean. I'm a little surprised to be level 17 at around the 20 hour mark. Doing the same things, side quests and crafting along with the MQ.

It depends on what you're doing really, I got 50 hours in game now and I'm lvl 16. I spend quite some time, just hunting or collecting materials.

Focus on lower level skills instead of higher level ones. So if your archery is, say, 50, then it takes around 5-6 levels of it to level you up. Now if you go and level up one-handed, which I'll say is 20, then it will take about double the leveling for it. It would also make the quests last longer and make you more reliable in close-quarters.
If you don't want to do that because you are RPing as a pure archer type of guy, then simply don't go to the skills menu; you only level up if you look at skills. However, this will eventually make enemies far too weak against your powerful ayyacks at a "low" level from not leveling up

This. I've got 44 hours in game and I'm lvl 18. Depends on how you level and how you play I guess. I also spend lots of time collecting materials and traveling.

is this proably the best way to go also avoid the guardian stone that incress skill rate being a werewolf mean to lose the well rested bonus and playing on a lower diffculty mean enemys will die fast so combat skill can take longer to build up
