levelling up and stats in a pvp enviroment

one thing that scares me about an mmorpg are people that go out and kill 1000 rats and have rediculous hit points and strength. i feel that stats like strength and hit points should be tied into a character type, not experience level. things like stamina, dexterity and intelligence should be things that improve with experience. the gaining of strength and hit points should be a product of your race and age ( a nord will get bigger and stronger with age where an elf will get more agile and dexterous with age).

No - because all races have same access to class archetypes, we need to have control over how our character's stats develop.

Well the game is class based (albeit with lots of customization options) so more than likely your stats you improve when lvling will be based on classes. This is also an RPG so as always simply stacking one stat wil leave you weak in others. Sure you might have a lot of HP but your armor will be low or your defenses will be low, can apply that to any stat. Also this is an MMORPG so that means it will have to be balanced( as best it can be) so players can't simply build alpha classes.

i just want it so a day1 noob has at least a small chance of defending himself without the need for programmed limitations. i want to see it where a veteran needs to think twice before picking a fight with another player. but i do want to see players have the ability to be bullies if they choose. an in game bully would make alot of enemy's looking for revenge.

i guess everything im describing is the 1% pain mechanics. in my opinion, thats what makes the differance between a game i get bored of in a month, and a game i can enjoy for years.
