Life simulation

Post » Fri May 10, 2013 6:30 am

I really like the genre and I'm trying to find some that are not The Sims, anyone have any ideas? All I seem to be able to find that is halfway decent is The Sims, and I'd like to try something different in the same category, if there is anything. Thanks in advance.

I actually don't think there are any, except for those HIGHLY advlt ones. So unless you like farm simulators or what's basically virtual porm, I'd stick to the Sims. It's the best we've got until we're enslaved by machines and put in the Matrix.

There's this game called Rock Star (not made by Rock Star) that came out in 1989 that is extremely formulaic and simple, but so much fun. I can't believe it hasn't been rebooted with graphics by someone.

WolfQuest is the only one I can think of right now. It's a free game for the PC. As the name suggests, it's a wolf life simulator.

Animal Crossing is pretty cute. It's not much like The Sims though, you don't really have needs to take care of, you just run around collecting things, making friends with the animals and improving your town.

Yeah giant [censored] carps that eat dwarves alive, and endless hordes of goblins to kill with magma.

I haven't played in a while but I don't think it's changed much. I haven't really heard of any significant releases over the past few months but I could be wrong.

Edit: Nope. Just checked the website. Last version was released almost a year ago.
