Do Light and Heavy Armor slow you down when walking and runn

Post » Fri Oct 19, 2012 10:30 pm

Can anyone tell me if Light and/or Heavy Armor physically slow down your character when walking, running, or sprinting? Or is the only affect how much Stamina is drained when sprinting?

Thanks.

heavy armor makes you slower but with a perk from heavy armor tree you can make it so when you wear heavy it weighs NOTHING,which means if your wearing a full platemail of steel your gonna walk around if you were just in your birthday suit

But *when* does it make you slower? Do you walk slower? Run slower? Sprint slower? All three?

Yes, heavier armor slows you down more.
EDIT: All three, I believe.

But there are Perks for both Light/Heavy that remove that affect from the armor.

Light armor means light on your feet. Heavy armor means you're a tank.

to be honest you can get both max mobility and armor from either one but the MAIN diffrence is the perks, light armor gives you a 50% stamina increase and a 10%(maybe 20)chance of dodgeing a attack, while heavy armor gives you reduce fall damage, punch damage increase based of your gloves armor and giving you a 10% chance to deflect a melle attack right back at the attacker

Yeah but it takes quite a high level to get the perks that remove the movement penalty. 50 for light armor and 70 for heavy armor.

I do like the stamina regen perk for light armor, seems useful, but again, that takes level 60. But maybe it's not hard to level up armor since it's a melee character, after all. I'm just now finishing up my thief character, and it took a while to level light armor, but then again it's because I almost always *avoided* combat! :)

Ya, heavy armor users got the stale end of the deal. Heavy armor slows you down in every way, weighs more unless you have a perk, and has subpar benefits. The 50% stamina regen perk for light armor is amazing, though. VERY useful for vampires. But good luck finding a good looking, unenchanted set. Once they're leveled up, the two armor types are pretty much the same. Both can provide max protection, max speed, etc. The difference being that one looks BA, while the other increases stamina regen. And yes, I know I went into too much detail. :P
