Lighthouse is the worst FPS map in history

Ive played this map probaby 10 times and I literally cant stand it anymore. Its just terrible.

1. The terrain can sometimes be difficult to navigate and ive gotten wedged inbetween rocks on more than one occasion.

2. Everybody and their brother just stays in the Lighthouse or ruined building with a DSG-1 shooting at anyone inbetween who is actually moving around the map.

I like the majority of the other maps or I can tolerate them but Lighthouse is just something that tells me its time to change servers.

It is pretty rough but their are worse maps. It is too linear, so snipers just murder everyone because it is impossible to flank them. Maybe If the runes in the middle of the map were taller it would help limit the snipers and promote "normal" play.

Terminal is the worst map in the game by far. The only thing that is hurting a lot of these maps is that you tend to run around for awhile without finding anyone. The player count is too low for some of the maps, I would enjoy at least 8v8 rather than 6v6.

it is 8v8 on pc. Some of the maps are a little big at times waste so much energy running. As for lighthouse you can kind of run from cover wall to cover wall cloaked then recharge move more it helps some. With 8vs8 I find a lot of the times I spawn directly beside enemies even face to face on some of the maps. The one map I have spawned at start a couple times in a stairwell face to face with a guy as it counts down to start. I have only played lighthouse on crash site so far it wasn't too bad sniper wise 1 or 2 of them. But they do have a long line of sight.

terminal is my favorite map!! and if you play free-for-all(instant action) its MUCH faster paced, give it a try

ok just played lighthouse and yes its rubbish, built for like 24 players for one not 12... and its just sniper land.

Playing crash site on Light House is a joke. I spawn at one end, the pod crashes at the complete other, the entire enemy team spawns within 50 feet of it and it's game over before anyone on my team ever got close.

The map is made for one game mode and that's the capture the flag one, forgot what's called.

In my opinion, impact svcks even more, because the spawns are fu**ing retarded and the map looks like it was made in 2 hours without thinking about it.

Yea light house seems like the map was tailored for 24 to 32 players. Maybe they originally inteded for that many players and this map stayed in instead of getting axed?

I also noticed the fact that crash site makes you spawn on the opposite end of the map of the pod.

So I definitely think they had the intention of making this a 24 or 32 player map and then decided not too. It could have been something like a power struggle map but they decided not to do power struggle. The map feels way to big to be in the current MP. So I believe it was supposed to be cut and they didn't do it.

The map is clearly only good for Capture the Relay mode. Everything else (especially Crash Site) is just... unfavorable.

It's my favourite map! :) Snipers aren't really a problem. There is a lot of places to hide. When traveling cloacked you have a lot of places to sit and recharge energy (hiding in vegetation on the sides works too). Just sneak behind them and finish off. Easy. :P

I love Nuketown.. but I hate the lighthouse. On that map my K/D usually takes a beating.

..it's a sniper's paradise..

EDIT: Something I did find works quite well is swimming at the side of the map. You don't waste energy and can get past parts of the map unseen.. The couple of times I've done a successful 'sniper hunt' I swam most of the way across the map and popped out behind them.

I think its horribly balanced for crash site. It is ridiculous how 90% of the time the pod is placed on either side of the map instead of somewhere in the middle. If it lands on your opponents side, you gotta run across the map to try and capture it and anybody you kill spawns near the pod anyway. In my experience, the winner in this map is whichever half the pod first lands. Its just the rectangular shape of the map which screws things up I would say.

My vote for worst map has to go to Liberty Island. Why? because EVERY TIME I play and seriously... every freaking time the opposing team is always camping in those yellow **** med-vac tents and if they arent there then they are camping up on the tallest building shooting me and my team mates as they spawn and run for cover. I **** HATE that map with a burning passion of 1000 suns. -.-'
