searching turned up nothing.

simply put less than half the torches/candles that are installed in one of my lakeview manor houses dont give off any light.

it really ruins the ambiance of the house, making many corners darker than they should.

is there any way to fix this?

Not really a fix to your problem, but there's a trick to light up the interior... get some torches, drop them in your house, leave, come back (they will be lit) and arrange them wherever you need light - you can put them in kettles, for example
