Hi, I'm having difficulties not with entering the code for my Limited Edition content but getting my game to recognize it. I entered the code on gamesas redeem section and it says my game will auto-update when I log on. No matter how many times I enter then exit it won't show up. I tried playing one match to see if that would work but it didn't. I'm not so interested in the boost to level 5 and unlocking the holo-decoy as I am the SCAR digital skin and the platinum dog tag.

Any suggestions?

are u running the game using the crysis2launcher, that file is the one that checks for updates not the crysis2 file

The transaction went through. I downloaded the game, entered the activation code. Worked fine, played some campaign then went on to try multiplayer. Didn't see anything saying I got LE content and my rank was 1. Poked around a bit, found my LE code at EA customer support, entered it at gamesas redeem section which said it went through. But when I go to the game it doesn't auto-detect it like the directions said it should. I re-entered the code at gamesas and it said I had already used it. Started up game again and still nothing.

I just checked my email and I did receive a verification a couple of hours ago.

That may be the key then, its been a little over two hours so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. If it doesn't work by tomorrow I'll say something.

You will find that it doesn't work properly anyway. I redeemed all my stuff and set it up in the game and had 5 levels of XP, but it keeps reverting back to normal XP ie what my level is without the bonus. Now what happens is I start multiplayer, it tells me I have the limited edition stuff in a little message (every time I play MP I get that) and I can go into the custom class and look at it, and my weapon skin is there too. Then I go in a lobby, as soon as I do something such as vote on a map or look at my score menus, my level goes down by a couple because the bonus xp is removed, and I also can't see the skin any more. The hologram always seemed to be there though, although I couldn't use it in game until I unlocked the custom class normally, because I couldn't select my custom class that was created with the bonus XP because as the bonus XP was removed I wasn't high a level enough to use it.
Also dog tags come and go, because you can unlock 4 or 5 with the bonus XP, but then they vanish and you unlock them with normal XP, but then when you restart the game at first you have your bonus XP so it shows the dog tags you should have had with the bonus stuff, but then as you start a game it freaks out again.

Sounds really complicated and confusing lol. Basically it's messed up and they need to fix it so your limited edition stuff stays fixed and forgotten and doesn't mess with your subsequent levelling up. And I'd like the weapon skin to remain too.

weapons come and go for me, i unlock a new shotgun then i after a match it says ive unlocked another weapon, i click that to unlock my new weapon now my shotgun is locked and i cant get it....pretty lame.

I do not see where to enter my code. The web site gamesas.com/limitededition does not have a field to enter it. All it says is redeem code with a large black box under the word. It's like the site isn't load all the way...

I already knew about stuff resetting but I wanted to at least work sometimes so that way the unlock will be in the system when the resetting problem is fixed. Right now my game still won't update and say I got LE content at all.

After poking around I noticed that my password for accessing the Crysis 2 game was different from my gamesas login password despite sharing the same email and Username.

Does this mean that there some disconnect between my game account and my gamesas account?

Any insights would be appreciated!

This implies then that there is a cross referencing problem then. The game should know that my username, account and password should be the same as my gamesas account.

I'm no programmer but it seems that the game shouldn't have let me use a different password in the first place unless I was creating a new account.

In the end it seems that this problem stems from entering the unlock code on a website versus directly doing it in game.

Edit: After trying that link you posted Bludd it says that my nickname is gamesas too.

This definitely means there is a disconnect and a serious problem.

I got it working!

Just to for the sake of trying I created an account in-game with a different nick name but with the same email and password as my gamesas account. I log into multiplayer and it worded!
