Lingering damage health question (very basic)

Post » Wed Jul 04, 2012 9:45 pm

Uhmm...what does it do? That is to say, if a potion of lingering damage health "causes 14 points of poison damage for 10 seconds," does it just drain 14 points over the course of 10 seconds? (That is to say, is it a fairly crappy poison?) Or does it drain 14 points per second for 10 seconds? (Which would be a lot better, obviously.)

Or neither? Google and various wikis I've checked just weren't clear to me.

The latter. 14 points over 10 seconds does 140 damage. I mix poisons with Damage Health + Lingering Damage Health for some very deadly concoctions ;)

I'm not entirely sure, but regardless, it's great against things that regenerate health such as trolls because I don't think you can regen health while taking damage.(I've never heard of a game that lets you do that)

Outstanding, thanks. I suspected the latter, given the gold value of the potion in question.
