I am not a huge fan of Win 8 nor of microsoft yet I like the PC more than the mac as you can do a lot more with a pc. So I wondering if anyone could answer if this game will be out on Linux at all?

As far as I know they have no plans to make a version for Linux. However if you really wanted to play it you could always just run a Virtual Desktop of Windows 7 on your PC if you dont want to install it fully.

You can still get Windows 7....
The game will not be developed for Linux, as far as I can tell.
