Lisbet's Dibella Statue, but dead Lisbet

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:55 am

I just got Lisbet's Dibella Statue near Markath, but unfortunately I killed Lisbet during the Taste of Death quest a long time ago. I guess back then I didn't realize that I still had an open quest with her, but this leads to an uncomfortable situation.

The quest is still in the journal, I have the statue, but nobody to give it to. I figured I could still bring it to her store and give it to her, hum, husband? But that doesn't seem to be possible.

I also know PC users love to use their console commands for problems like this, but I'm playing on an Xbox. Besides, I'd like to do this properly. Isn't there really any way to finish this with Lisbet dead, especially considering that she's a character that players may kill at some point because of the quest I mentioned?

Since the whole point of that quest is to bring the statue back to Lisbet, it'll be broken for you. You'll have to carry that dingus for as long as you live. It's her curse on you. Oh and Mumbles, or whatever his name is, is just a dumb assistant. What I don't understand is how he knows I killed Lisbet at the dinner party. He certainly wasn't there! Nobody misses the meat vendor, though.

Is that
Spoiler
Namira's Feast? I get dialogue options for a few NPCs, "Diddn't I see you...?". I came across some chick in the wilderness and I did part of a quest with/for her, but when I realized WTF was going on I killed her and failed the quest (darn it  ).

I was afraid that was going to be the only answer. Plus, since it's a damn quest item, I won't even be able to store it away I guess. Great.

They really should take into account these sort of things. Again, I don't think it was that hard to imagine this could happen to some players. I wasn't even expecting that assistant to inherit the store afterwards and there he was, so that was taken care of. But then again, Skyrim seems to be designed to turn the player into a fantastic [censored] in many aspects, so I should've guessed that betraying everyone at that dinner party wasn't really justice, but the seed of a future problem.

PS. Oh, look at that. This is one of those forums with censored words? How cute.
