70mb

curious to know the size of everyone's save files. I am at 70mb and on the verge of hitting level 83 in destruction. The game continual lags, background music still plays(lagging has progressively got worse), but the game controls return to me. However, when i hit level 83 destruction and go to save it lags every time, noise still plays, but controls seemingly dont comeback and i can never get the save in. Ive waited 15mins the longest.

70mb? Damn, that's crazy. I'm at about 7-8. Have about 80 hours put into the save so far.

I have no idea. Maybe you ran into some type of glitch or something went corrupt. Have you tried saving in a new slot instead of overwriting older saves? Maybe that will help.

i dont know what the freak happened.

So i decided to take my save file and upload it to the pc game. I loaded up the save file and the lag is still there but because its a pc, the lag always goes away. Whereas on the console after about 3 or 4 lags, the controls would never return.

Once on the pc I waited 24 hours a bunch of times and my save file has went from 70mb to 50mb.

I don't know it is my play style or what, I am very thorough when searching and storing things.

So I then said fuk it and made a new guy on the pc, gave him 50k gold, stored another 100k in a crate, maxed all skills, level 81, full set daedric, all kinds of potions and regs, all the enchantments, all the spells and shouts plus the ones they never put into the final build, now I have no reason to collect hardly anything and loaded the save back to the xbox. *gives middlefinger to bethesda*

Save file 4mb.

103 hours - 14mb. Getting a little lag here and there on Xbox.

But I've saved 1,322 times and only have 10 saves so maybe that's why...

that is similar to the pace I was on, especially save numbers

How did you save... with a new save file every time or did you save over old files?

I always saved over old files but i dont think i am going to do that anymore.

How's that even possible? I mean the whole PC to xbox save file thing you just did... I didn't know you can do that. Can you explain the process ?

Go to youtube and search skyrim save 360 to pc, some guy has a 2 part video that shows how to do it, pretty simple.

Cool, will do! Thanks. EDIT: just did and it went over my head. Anyway, isn't that like modding and stuff? And also I don't have PC version of Skyrim so I'll give this ona a miss.

Yea, it is fairly easy to do there are more than a few tutorials online, but keep in mind that using any third party interface to modify a save file(modio, etc) violates the ToS. While it is highly unlikely you will get caught, it is a violation that will get your 360 blacklisted. It has happened to people before just for giving their avatars colors not normally available in the editor. Just be careful in what you give character b/c some items are only available via console commands.

57 hours and I'm on 11mb. Been crashing quite a lot during the moments when you have a lot of stuff going on since I reached 50th hour or so.

The majority of my saves are 6mb. I have one at 5 and another one at 3mb. I don't know if the fact I'm using a memory card (to separate character save files) has anything to do with it though.

I swear, after reading all these threads about huge save file size, I just know one day my saves are going to balloon to an ungodly size...

i checked everything on my save that was lagging, i didnt see a key issue. Like i said, the more i waited the more the save file would reduce but it was minimal amounts at a time, thats why i gave up but it would seem the passage of time effected it...
