I literally want to live in Tamriel, this world is too crazy

Is anyone else feeling this way now especially with recent events? I don't mean to bring real world political BS into this, but um... well yeah, you all know what I'm talking about. I'm going even deeper into the TES games now, just to help me forget about it lol. Even when I'm at work or tending to real-life duties, my head shall be in Tamriel, thinking of what my characters will do next. Ah, the beauty of TES.

(PLEASE no political arguments in this thread, or I will get a mod to lock it. Thank you. This is simply a discussion of how TES is the best possible thing for escapism.)

Tamriel has been my virtual home-away-from-home for 14 years. Vvardenfell, Cyrodiil and Skyrim feel almost like real places to me now. I have had dreams about these places. When I play other games I can actually begin to feel homesick for Tamriel. It's not unlike feeling homesick for a real place on earth.

I would particularly like to live in the Ascadian Isles, The Reach, or along the Orange Road in the midst of the wonderful autumn woods in Cyrodiil. There's a small pond just off the road in those woods where I would love to build a cabin in real life.

I would say you would find no harbor from uncertainty and madness in Tamriel if you were to really live there

On the contrary

But I agree that to live there literally in the fantasy sense will give some relief

I always assumed that part of the attraction of games for everyone is escapism

I have certainly gotten relief from reality in games at difficult times
