2 questions, that i havent seemed to have able to find a good answer for...

1. where would be the best place to farm the stuff to make healing potions? trying to do a play thru with as little magic use as possible, and while i have plenty of Blue Mountain flowers, finding others to go with it is being a pain. now i've looked thru the UESP and know whats needed, but i'm looking for a place, or a couple really close places, to farm them in mass quanities, and not having to spend hours scouring the world for them or traveling from one end of the map to the other.

2. are there any followers that will, atleast like 75% of the time, only be a ranged attacker, magic or bow, and not get in my way as melee? normally i used to hate using them, but after installing UFO i found them a bit more tolerable, tho they do still tend to get in my way. seems there is no end to the melee followers in the game, but a good ranged one is being a pain to find. and if possible, i'd prefer to keep to vanilla followers.

1. Caves usually have Blisterwort and Impstool, Daedra Hearts are found on Daedra, Blue Dartwings are found hovering over water, Blue Butterfly Wings are obtained by catching Blue Butterflies, Charred Skeever Hide is a common Food in Dungeons, Rock Warbler Eggs are found in or near nests (I think they are the green eggs?), The area around Morthal is loaded with Swamp Fungal Pad, Wheat can be found in many Dungeons alone or in barrels, and can be "harvested" from Farms.

i know where to find the stuff, i'm more looking for a place or area where alot of them can be found all at once, thats not entirely outta the way or full of stuff to kill (dont get me wrong, i enjoy killing stuff, but when out jsut trying to famr stufd, it gets annoying). likw is there a cave with a ton of one shroom and nearby is another full of a 2nd kind? i only know of 1 spot to get Deadra hearts and at most you cna get like 5 i think.. wheat is ok, but i feel odd using a potion that fortifies my health when all i want is to refill it.

The Mushroom Farm in Blackreach has plenty of Imp Stool and Blisterwort.
Falmer Lairs are usually where lots of Blisterwort can be found, Imp Stool is very common in almost every cave.
The largest single concentration of Charred Skeever Hide is in Alftand Animonoculary, being roasted beside a Forge.
Rock Warbler Eggs are fairly common in the Rift, near Hroki's Shack.
The Swampy area between Morthal, Solitude, and Ustengrav are filed with Swamp Fungal Pad, and Dragonflies.
There is a reason the Alchemists Shack is empty, and many dead Dunmer named "Alchemist" litter the Wilds of Skyrim
Every Ice free body of water with a current has Dragonflies hovering over it, and travelling by water from Riften to Windhelm, Lake Illinata to Widhelm, or following the Karth River is fairly safe, the waterfalls are fun to go down with the Become Etherial Shout. The current will usually carry Your character away from Mudcrabs, and other things. Bears and Wolves can be problematic.

in hundreds of hours played, i have only ever seen 1 dead alchemist in the wilds.

but i guess there is no easy way to farm lots of stuff for the potions.. just have to keep my eyes open as i travel, thanks.

Best healing potion is blue mountain flower + wheat.

You can get lots of wheat from the farms outside Windhelm.

I think the respawn time for wheat is 30 days, not the usual 10 days.

Jenassa is a great ranged follower. You can find her in a tavern in Whiterun.

Single biggest thing to having a follower is to only give them weapons you want them to use. If you don't want them to use certain weapons, then don't provide them. If you're not sure what weapons THEY want to use, just give them an assortment and see what they choose.

As far as archery goes, I like Jenassa and Faendal. You may like Faendal even more if you use the Specialized Followers http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7245
