I must say that it was a much better episode then what I was anticipating.

Spoiler
Of particular note some more world building with yet another mythos creature the timber wolfs along with some Tiara humiliation. Overall a lot better then what I was expecting.

My little pony is still going (the newest gen (g4) that started in 2010), and well it's just better than all the other gens.
And no most of us aren't ponies, we're just regular people.
I'm a normal guy I guess.
I love gaming, I'm a little bit overweight, a little bit near sighted (I use -0.5 or something), ginger (not one of those with lots of freckles and curly hair, but yeah I'm a ginger I suppose). I play drums, I enjoy metal and Rock music. I like reading, and I like cartoons.

We're normal people. Typical nerds in most cases, but there's a lot of unexpected fans as well.

Check out some of the links in the opening post if you're curious about us and why we like the show. If you want to know why it's still going, there's a great history video in there, the Retrospective.

I concur---I never knew I'd become one with the ponies but when you hear everyone talking about it then watching a couple of episodes half-way then one full episode and maybe buying a pony figurine or two you realize it's not so bad. Actually it's a decent show compared to whats on tv now-a-days. Honestly Twilight Sparkle wasn't my first pony I bought---Swiftwind was but----he's from a different show :D.
Spoiler
<-----see avatar for show on where Swiftwind came from.

It amazes me how many people attempt to troll us (emphasis on attempt) only to find that there are much easier targets to choose from given our tactics for dealing with such things1. And for those with arguments (legitimate or otherwise with plenty of traditional bias) against us only to find said arguments built of sand at best given how easily countered they are and promptly swarmed with counter arguments if only because of our numbers.

You really can't get away with trolling when we provide so much useful information in the opening post.

It seems the BroNYCon Livestream is the largest current Livestream at 1000 viewers and counting :foodndrink:

That's why us fans need to stick together and defend our love of the show (or any other show) ;).

Finally got to watch the episode and it was quite pleasing giving me some good laughs.

Spoiler

1. Big Mac actually talked lol it's a miracle
2. Granny Smith Hijinks YES!!! Perhaps there is a CMC slumber party on the horizon at Canterlot Castle with Luna watching them lmao
3. CMCs helping out applebloom then being impressed by granny smith.sweet
4. Actual cannon lore for Ponyville where it is confirmed to be settled by earth ponies. Kind of interesting as its like the apple family owns that whole village lol.
5. Mr. Filthy...*snickers* that was pretty cool where he's stuck up but still interesting. Diamond Tiara got her come uppens by her own dad BRILLIANT!
6. Celestia meeting granny smith was awesome definitely liked that.

Only thing that is problematic now is that we don't know how old Granny Smith actually is or when all of that took place. She was pretty young so I can only guess it happened like 80 maybe 90 years ago since we've seen ponies that seem younger than smith. Perhaps Ponyville will have a Centennial celebration to commemorate its founding however if it has a Bi-Centennial celebration i'm going to freak right the F out cause smith will be pretty dang old. Also since she's old its hard to take what she says at face value however 80% of it is probably true where her ancestors maybe her grandfather founded Ponyville.

Dang now i'm spoiled waiting for the next episode next Saturday :( curse my pony related obsession.

In general I think it's a good episode making a great overall addition to the season.

1. Pacing - Things are very fluidic having little to no moments leaving you wonder "why am I here?".
2. Acting - The VA for smith does a beautiful job maintaining her overall..."sanity" i'll say.
3. Centric Plot - Great plot keeping it focused on the episode instead of wondering off

I think that's pretty much all I can say without going into details giving things away.

Sounds like it's gonna be a great episode. One of my favorites so far in season 2 is "Sisterhooves Social" and "Hearths Warming Eve", and I'm hoping this is gonna be a great one aswell.

Great! I've still got to wait till later tonight to watch it though, as I've got a couple of things to do before settling down to enjoy the episode.

1: It was well fluid and quick pace.
2: The VA on Granny Smith (also the name of one of favorite apples btw) was funny and fit the character well.

Spoiler
It's always the grandma or parent's job to embarrass the next generation, that's a given . Still the fact that everyone saw G.S as a crazy old mare when really she was just keeping the tradition going and her experiance.
