[REQ] Live Economy

As usual, the economy of The Elder Scrolls is nonsense. Weird selling prices, everyday objects like baskets are worth 0, absolutely steady economy, merchants can't buy good weapons because they don't have enough gold, etc. This time it comes with no haggling, feeling as dumb as a 1980s console RPG.

I would like to have a varied and fluctuating economy, with powerful merchants that can buy what I have and every price scaled to sanity (e.g. a sword can't cost like 100000 goblets).

On top of that, you should be able to sell what you've stolen elsewhere.

I agree on this one. the economy needs to feel more real and fluid. something i would think that would make more since is towns with a high military presence like solitude should by and sell weapons and armor at lower prices while towns like Markarth that have a small military presence should by and sell weapons and armor high. things like that.

as i said on another thread if one town doesnt know/care about my bounty in another town then why/how would they know/care about the items i have stolen from another town?

also i think it would be interesting that if a dragon attacks a town it could effect prices. like they shoot up for a day or two.

Yeah and maybe add some banks and such to put money in and gain interest and whatnot..Take loans out, there could be 2 options for getting loans, the 1st one being from a bank employee wich interest will be MUCH higher but they dont try and kill you just rough you up a bit by sending a thug to fistfight you where if you lose you hafto pay up. and the 2nd way is from a shady Loan Shark that will loan you much more than the bank will and with a slightly lower interest but if you dont pay em back in a week, they send assassins after you to collect..

I think that would add a good amount of fun immersive content and add another roleplaying archetype you could be, the "BankRobber!" lol

Or maybe even add an option to become a hired blade for a Loan Shark? That might be fun

I think it could be done. There were banks in Oblivion and Morrowind. And gold with weight. There are already hired assassins in the game. Just need the CK. There was Living Economy, and then Enhanced Economy for Oblivion that I would love to see come to Skyrim, and maybe the new engine would let more things be done too. Here's the latest thread for Enhanced Economy, I think :
