Load Screen Indefinitely

]So like a lot of people here I was having issues with the game crashing/freezing. I emailed them and got a reply back saying:

"Thank you for contacting gamesas Support. We are sorry that you are having this issue. There was a patch on Day 1 that you should have received if your system is connected to the PSN. In addition we have the following troubleshooting suggestions:

1. Problems may arise if you have been playing the game for an extended period of time. Let the system cool down, then try running the game.
2. Please make sure that you have the most recent update for your PS3 console.
3. Remove the game data from the Playstation 3 Hard Drive. Files in the Game Data Utility folder, are saved settings for a game (i.e., controller preferences, brightness settings, etc.). These steps will NOT delete your save games. To remove a game data file from the PLAYSTATION 3:

a. In the XMB home menu, go to (Game) > [Game Data Utility].
Important: Make sure you select [Game DataUtility]. Do NOT select [Saved Data Utility], as this will delete all of your saved games files.
b. Highlight the game data utility file (i.e., name of a particular game you have been playing) you wish to delete.
c. Press the button and select [Delete].
d. Highlight "Yes" and press the button to confirm the deletion.
e. A message indicating the file is being deleted will appear.
f. A "Delete completed." message will appear once the file has been successfully deleted.

4. Try running it from another console. If the game works properly on another system, you may want to contact Sony to find out more about getting your PlayStation 3 serviced. If the game fails to run on multiple consoles, contact our Technical Support representatives for further assistance."

Now 1 and 2 were not an issue and none of my friends have a ps3 that i can try 4 on. So I opted to try 3. Since following their suggestion, my game runs the load screen (complete with hints and the music) indefinitely and will not let me play the game entirely. Is anyone else having this issue?

I should probably say my character is only lvl 17 and the file size isn't over 7000kb. The game has also decided that attempting to start a new game will also go to the hint screen indefinitely. Getting pretty frustrated here. Anyone have any suggestions or having this problem?

Doesnt sound like anything i ever experienced. The loads screens are sometimes VERY long on my lvl 45 (13mb), but not indefinite.
Deleting the game data sounds like a horrible idea to me, and more like a troll than actual advice :o Why would it record if, if it is not needed for something?
Everyone is having problems with this port - Mostly lag issues and poor framerate / freeze on big character files, and that is a generel thing.
In your case I believe that deleting the files might have caused it. Seing as how you could play before you did that.. Think you might have to reinstall some of dem gam0r dataZ! :((

I reinstalled all the game data but it's still running indefinitely. I'm kinda pissed that was even suggested to me as a solution by their support and now i'm in a worse position than i was before.

Did you try rebuilding the PS3 database?

That too has not resolved the issue. Sometimes it will load but from what I've noticed from the 2 minutes it let's me play before it freezes/crashes is that the crosshair, dialogue, voices, and loot/open options do not appear.

First, I would try to backup the Skyrim savedata on an USB-Stick (or two, to be sure) and delete them from the HDD. Then try to load the game.
Do your other games run fine? If so, try to delete game data of these of approx. the size of skyrim (~5gig). Then install skyrim and try to login again as option two.

Why? Simple, it seems to me, that the program cannot read some data from the HDD (the routines for broken sectors trying to fix them can take quite a time before they give up). Thus, you're often stuck.

All my other games are playing just fine with no problems whatsoever. Then infintite load isn't happening during gamepay for me, it's occurring when i first try to load my file. Attemptiing to create another file under a different playsatation handle has the same problem for a new game. This was my first bethesda gaming experiance and unfortunately it appears it will be my last.
