Loading screen add-on, redone (BETA)

Post » Fri Sep 02, 2016 12:06 am

For a month or more, after playing with Oblivion, I started to realize that I wanted to revamp totally the loading screens mod you can find here:

http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/36730/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Foblivion%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D36730%26preview%3D&pUp=1

And so my project began. I had remade 60 screens more or less, when I happened to find that CSE without extender is not the most stable program you can find around. So I had lost a lot of work (almost 1\4 of what I'm supposed to do) and I got a bit sad.

But after a few days I thought that it could be a worth hassle to remake the mod, because honestly the loading screens are so few that it is annoying to always see the same, and even my improved grammar version found here (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45707/?) didn't satisfy me completely.

So the project began, and it is now finished. In so far the features:

--> Revamped 199-201\205 screens. For some I couldn't find a valid replacement

--> Corrected the few grammar issues

--> Added descriptions that made more sense.

--> Wondered if I should add a few easter eggs.

Now, I've got two issues:

1) I'm waiting for the permission by Daysire to publish the project (inside the permission's section of his own mod it is written that you have just to tell her that you wish to use his stuff, and so it is not a permission per se, much more an alert, but I'll be waiting anyway)

2) The mod is labelled BETA. That is because sometimes the descriptions I've added to the screens are pretty long (that's what happens when you wish to add too much stuff); I'm pretty sure some screens may be faulty and I would like your help in squishing the issues out.

Hope this little .esp will satisfy you.

Sounds great- hope you're able to release it soon - Oblivion's loading screens lose their charm pretty quickly, never mind after after 10 years !! :bonk:

Do you know if Daysire have left the community or just retire from modding?

If Daysire have left the community then I think you can release it, but put Daysire under the "Original" section in your readme and add the original readme as well.

For some arcane reason, the file always fails to being uploaded. This means it will be only there or in Tesalliance if I find the will to upload it here.

Just a minor thing maybe, but packing it with 7zip costs almost 2 times less space. (with Ultra packing setting).

Anyway, thanks for the updated addon, will test when time allow!
