Loading screen freeze. forced to reset : Fallout 4

I can hardly play an hour without having this issue where the game freezes on loading screens. Alt-tabing doesn't work, and I have to reboot my pc. I have also been forced to redownload game files twice as well as suffering a number of broken saves. This wasn't a problem the first 50 hours or so of gameplay.

I run the game on an eight core 3.10 processor with 8 gigs of ram, 7800 amd graphics card and a 64 bit windows 7 home premium.

Is there a fix for this issue which mere mortals can accomplish, and/or is this being fixed in a future patch?

I tried reinstalling from a portable storage device/disk and into my program files. That didnt' work as far as the freezing goes. it loads faster though, when it actually does. It's getting frustrating.

Now I have FO4 installed on my C drive. The game runs faster but I have only 31 gigs left.

Your low HDD space is not helping. You cannot run a gaming PC on only a 120GB SATA drive.

How much would I need then? I usually run games from external drives, but I thought it'd be better to run from C.

I have been running Skyrim with well over a houndred mods, albeit with some crashes but this experience with FO4 is ridiculous.
