Actually, if you get in with the Brotherhood of Steel (you could, for example, find Veronica at the 188 Trading Post, or find one of the Brotherhood recon teams [dead] at, say, the REPCONN offices [not to be confused with the REPCONN test site]), then help them, you can actually join them, receive Power Armor training, and also get your own set of T-45d Power Armor [T-45d is the same type of Power Armor we saw the BoS use in Fallout 3, and the one on the cover of Fallout 3's case]). Power Armor is faction-neutral, gives you a +2 to Strength, a -2 to Agility, and a Radiation Resistance of 10. I'm using that right now.
