5 perks 1 for each lock level : e.g. adept level locks are much easier to pick
wax key: makes a key for the lock you picked
perk : you can't be detected while lockpicking
perk: you find more gold
perk: you find 50% more treasure (?)
perk: lockpicks never break
perk: you start with lockpicking with your pick closer to sweet spot

Thank you!

The two ones that let you find more treasure and gold (presumably from locked chests only) are pretty nice. The rest is meh.

Can we bug you to post Alteration too? :)

Sweet, thanks man!

Not that exciting though... I knew I wouldn't be wasting perks on lockpicking even before I saw the tree, this only confirms it.

Underwhelming, maybe a little, but it's lockpicking. I think the whole notion of having a finite amount of Perk Points puts a lot more of the "Obvious" ones in perspective. Like if you're really good at picking locks, why bother wasting a point on Adept-Expert ect.

Nice, I'm happy with these perks. I don't know what some people expect, maybe a lockpick that can summon a dragon?

Lamer than most of the perk trees, and most of them I am not impressed with. It kind of highlights to me how bad of a skill this is though. While lock picking is cool, its overly specific nature hurts it. If they had kept it with security and had it include the concept of setting/disarming/noticing traps it would of had a lot more room for cool perks.

Wow those perks are ridiculously good. The only one I don't like is the Skeleton Key one but that one's probably a late game perk so it's not going to be a big deal when you get to it.

Mostly it was hard to believe they could make perks for lockpicking that could genuinely compete with the others, and these fears appear reasonable.

IMO, Lockpicking should have been merged with Pickpocket, (Thievery?) and the freed Skill could have been used for an Atheletics+Acrobatics combo skill.

After seeing the pickpocket and lockpicking perks I'm inclined to agree with you.

perk: lockpicks never break

I hope there's a skill requirement for this.

I imagine it's a top tier ability, or at least I hope it is. Way to render a Daedric artefact meaningless with a single perk

If the pick never breaks... do you really need to spend points in making certain locks easier to pick?

I might switch lockpicking out for alteration now.. I am playing a stealth mage anyway and I always save right before a lock in case I lose too many lockpicks. I reload if i break too many so the perks are pretty useless for me aside from "more treasure" but meh

The way the tree is arranged you're going to have to do it at least once, but other than that those perks are about speed. On a Master lock, even if the pick never breaks it could take up to 10 minutes to crack it from the gameplay I've witnessed.

They've adopted the Fallout lockipicking system, where you have to be a certain level just to have the option to pick some locks...
