On a whim, I decided to test whether this was a problem with the mod, or just my character. I created a new character and teleported to the start of the quest. Lo and behold, the log entries were now appearing correctly. Furthermore, I had made sure to make a save of my main character prior to testing any aspect of the mod. When I loaded up that file and teleported to the quest, again, the log entries displayed correctly.
I am asking out of curiosity, and for the sake of others for whom it seems this question went unanswered: Is there a reason that using a character save that has been testing the mod as it has been built will somehow break the log entries, and apparently nothing else?
