So when exactly did Crytek say anything about Dx11? It was never mentioned by the Crytek team, or on the website.
They lied about nothing. The game has a few bugs online, and some weird glitches, but HEADS UP: EVERY PC GAME DOES AT LAUNCH. Its the nature of our platform. Every PC is different so it just happens.
The game is the best looking game. If your so eager to put your DX11 card to work go boot up the uniengine benchmark.
Dude, go read up on every single press release before game launched, the producer clearly says in numurous articles and interviews that Crysis 2 will support DX 11 and that PC versions would recieve "special treatment".......now after release, they say nothing. It's not the way to treat customers.
Plus for those of you who are 'happy' with the game, good for you, enjoy it like any other fps on your dated 9800gtx and consoles, and I don't believe any of you who are happy can run Crysis 1 maxed out smoothly. However there's a whole world of PC enthusiasts to consider,
PC enthusiasts and hardcoe coders were the ones who gave Crytek a name, without benchmarkers, coders, enthusiasts alike.....crytek would not exists. Crysis isn't just a game lol it pushed for industry standards and raised the bars for developers, and the whole pc gaming industry as a whole benefited.
For Crytek not to push the boundaries of newer technology in 2 is already a fail for every benchmarker, coder, and pc enthusiasts. And did I mention low res textures?!!!!! what a joke....
If you were to judge the game on it's own as just a game, sure it's a decent enough game........for the xbox! But you simply can't, cuz the fact that Crysis 1 just blew everyones expectations to dust maxed out. Crysis 2 falls so far behind. Too bad most people and console players didnt get to experience Crysis 1 maxed out....maybe get a JOB? no wonder most people ..the "commercial" crowd don't get why the enthusiasts are pissed off at Crytek. If you guys had seen crysis 1 maxed out, you'd be pissed at crysis 2. im not rich, i work hard and save my money so i can play my favourite games, and i'm not the only one.
I can't help but feel Crytek has taken the easier route by commercializing the product, to suit consoles and multiporting it, to simply fill their pockets with more money on that commercial front. It should not have been on consoles, period.
