Lonesome Road Achievements

I thought it looked like what the real Caesar dressed in, because he has those ear wreath things. So im guessing Caesars Legion will be playing a role in the DLC

Would make sense I suppose. It could also be the apparel of the Ciphers, since there is rumor that they might appear in LR.

Yes, I did notice that. Looks like there are some other things sticking out of it as well.

I wonder what that little gun is that he is shooting at the warheads for the disarm achievement. Looks almost like the one we received in OWB's.

Yeah. :D Even seems theres a little sattelite dish combat knife and what looks like an alarm clock?

My guess is that it's a disruptor type thing, which allows you to disable, or detonate the warheads.

Which for an intents and purposes is pretty much the same thing, as they are both within the same time period. Still I would not be surprised if the Legion did play a role in this DLC; especially when you consider that Ulysses is a rumored Frumentarii. As for the warheads, I am going to speculate now and say that Ulysses is using the undetonated warheads at the Divide as a tool to teach the Courier a true lesson about the ultimate outcomes of any side that could win the battle of Hoover Dam. Because if the Legion wins a bloody war will be raged, if House wins a bloody war will be waged, NCR? War. Yes-Man? Chaos which is pretty much hand in hand with war. So by disarming the warheads we could possibly be showing Ulysses that it doesn't have to be that way and having him either A.) back down and admit that while no side is perfect there can always be good from each and live and let live (peaceful); or B.) shoot his crazy ass. (What I assume a lot of people will pick)

However I could be reading way to deep into the idea that each Courier has a message for the other and Ulysses saying that the heart of the old world sleeps at the Divide (or something along those lines.)

Well idk what they wear, ive only played Fallout 3 and New Vegas. But yeah maybe ive been hearing alot of people saying the Ciphers will be in Lonesome Road, maybe as the Divide dwellers

It's not on the main page anymore. You have to go to view images.

Or, http://www.newvegasnexus.com/imageshare/images/1419609-1312852349.png, I suppose.

Well based on the achievements and the one called Hometown Hero, turns out the divide is the Courier's hometown after all, go figure. (yay!) Also my guess of what happened in the divide is well lets just say house really [censored] up with not having the platinum chip delivered on time and those nukes probably fell at the divide. The radiation of the nukes is causing massive problems there such as massive weather anomalies thus causing fierce storms and such. The divide is probably some sort of chasm of which at the base is a vault meant to house humanity and was locked in or out of the world by the nuclear warheads. We were probably part of the same tribe as Ulysses and our tribe like all the great tribes has a weapon they are known for. Also E-DE is seen in the ending clips leaving with the courier much like Dog-meat left with the Lone wanderer so it would make sense that of all companions to actually receive something from a DLC it would be your life long companion Spy-bot. Also we get to either let the people from the Divide live or die and or leave or stay based on out actions there. Lets just say that something happened in the Divide and we went and told Ulysses and now he blames us for the cataclysm that ensued thus he wants our heads and or a valid explanation of the truth or vice verse maybe he wants to educate us of what happened to our home while we were gone. Maybe it was us who told him we would leave and visit the world and because of this something followed that destroyed and or caused havoc in our home which we now know is the divide. As for the whiners on this thread, GET [censored] OVER IT!!!Part of a good story is linearity while having the freedom to imagine your character how you wish it is very [censored] hard to create a compelling story with a character who has no background which last time I checked most people complain about when it comes to companions so seriously get the hell over it Jesus. End semi rant.

Yeah I know. Not the way Obsidian intended though....

what do you mean? I only have like 5 mini-nukes in the whole game please inform me XD I want to use my just pretty much an ornament right now fatman.

Also, here is a thought, what if E-DE was sent by the Divide Dwellers to contact the courier and thus it is why he can be upgraded as they created him wouldnt that explain why he sorta just appears at the exact place you took the job in Primm?

You can pickpocket them off the Boomers. Or just kill them. Then wait a few days and repeat.

in Nellis air force base, by the 3 tents and cornfield, there is a female boomer (might be male, all my times though, I see the boomer as a she) that clearly holds the Fat man on her back and 3 mini nukes in her inventory. There is no such thing as pickpocket (unless you want to waste a stealthboy), so instead, get a silenced sniper rifle and pow, kill her in the head while hidden, grab her loot, leave to Goodsprings or somewhere else, wait for 3 days, rinse and repeat. This method allowed me to hold 165 nukes. HUZZAH, time to turn the Mohave into nothing but GLASS :flamethrower: :hubbahubba: :celebration: :disguise: :chaos:

Nope, silent kills don't lose Karma nor Rep so feel free, how do you think I get my Ranger Vet armor XD Lets just say Camp Hope has had many strange murders as of late by a guy wearing a Lobotomite jumpsuit a desert ranger helmet a destroyed collar and a proton inverted axe.

undetonated warheads in the Divide, very odd, since I was expecting a place torn apart by hurricanes now it looks like the Divide will hold warheads which you apparently have to detonate.

[INTELLIGENCE 7] What does this All Mean?

[CHARISMA 6] And how come there are no mentions of Ulysses in the Achievements? These achievements almost made me forget about the other courier, the courier we supposedly have a battle with at the Divide :foodndrink: :obliviongate:

I think you mean Tornados. :spotted owl: Unless the Divide is near the coast of California, Hurricane damage isn't possible. :spotted owl:

nope, while hidden, and with a silencer, your freed to kill what you want in a faction, as long as no one spots you lol.

Did I mention I love you right now, "Whispers at his Fatman: Alrighty my friend you are no longer a display ornament in the Sink XD."

XD thank you, we all love you too and your crazed killings and dreams of obliterating the Mohave :hubbahubba: :obliviongate:.

hmmmm...so far the achievments look great, though I wonder why only 2 off them are quest focused, while the 3 are just "oh here, something for you to do"..eh it doesnt matter to me, I just want to explore, have fun, and mod that puppy to its maximum capacity. The world will never know what hit it...again... :whistling:

Agreed. Though even for Fallout, a Hurricane is a storm system that can only grow out in the ocean, which is why they die soon after landfall.

I wonder why Ulysses has nothing to do with these achievements or if they purposely omitted his achievements to keep us from guessing his real motive. XD And yes DEATH to the Squishies lol XD

For the same reason they put the Sneaky Suit and Appliance Acheivements for OWB, apparently each DLC needs to meet a certain number for AP.

Perhaps Lonesome Road is going to cater to the poor Explosives lovers who haven't gotten much attention in the DLC's?

much attention? why do we NEED any attention, if any of you are really that curious, go to my Explosives thread that I made weeks ago through anolysis and testing. the turht is we have been spoiled quite alot actually, since all Explosive weapons in the entire game actually kicks ass if your an explosive build (guess what, the Firebomb is actually useful for small corridors and can kill a Fiend instantly in one shot..HUZZAH) so yes, even the most 'useless' Explosives in the game actually has some small term uses.
