What does this random game linearity debate have to do with screenshots?

That- the-point-of-the-whole-DLC, ever watched a 50 Sci-Fi movies, well, OWB is all of those in a nutshell......

Hanged man my butt, A NPC who just yells "chaotic evil" in his personality doesnt deserve to be brought again, EVER

And that's what made OWB horrendous to me.

And what's so wrong with a chaotic evil NPC huh?
Why did they have to ruin him in place for "Burned" man?
Couldn't they just have created a completely new NPC that was the first legate and have left the Hanged Man intact?

It did have a plot.

And what I mean is: that both DLC's sacrifices choices, NPC interaction and story for exploration. A lot of us complained about the linear killfests while ignoring HH's and OWB's Killfests. Hell, HH even has a long ass canyon that is linear FPS'ing. Instead of following Dead Money's pattern where what you do actually matter in the long run they just send you off on fetch quests. Just like MZ did.
Anything you do do in F:NV in First Person is FPSing, true story.

HH, OWB and MZ had mindless exploration that were the selling point, not the story. (How good a quality each story had is not the point.)

I can't speak for HH since I don't own it, but OWB's exploration isn't 'mindless', a majority of it's exploration and how much exploration you do determines some of the endslides in the end of OWB, MZ just rewards it with toys.

OWB even jokes about it and goes "You know what? Just go explore, I know you want to."

I only saw that in the beginning, and even then the joke was written in a way that the Think Tank is encouraging you rush it so you can leave ASAP

They all had fetch quests were you just went somewhere to get or kill X, no big story development or anything, just go disarm some bear traps, go kill some generators, or go get some suit parts.
Clearly you didn't play OWB, the items were for a key plot in the story, and the fetch quest of OWB determines some of OWBs endings.

MZ had ridiculous enemies, and so did OWB.

Right, squeaky booted aliens, giant deathray armed spaceships and abomination experiments are on the same scale as lobotomites and robotic scorpions. :rolleye:

MZ had a linear story, so did HH up until the very end.

Cant say as I dont have HH

MZ and and OWB both share the epic cool awesomeness loot, HH, not so much.

Again, can't say anything for or against HH

MZ and OWB both had bullet sponges, and actually, HH's White Leg's were strangely durable.

I agree to an extent, but F3 overdoes the 'bulletsponge' motif on a global scale

No similarities? You jesting now right?

I could compare Jesus and Adolf Hitler if I really tried. Stop looking for something to complain about and just enjoy them for what they are, stop being so tight clenched over such trivial issues.

Actually, if you have the three companions in MZ follow you, Paulson, Elliot and... Some girl... Then the NPC interaction is superior to HH and OWB.

Hmmm, interaction. 6 Think tanks, 10 unique personalitied system softwares with dialogue you can interact with, versus the 5 or so people in MZ you talk to. Right.

Not saying that Graham or Mobius were boring or anything, but the Think Tank just stayed up there in their dome and spat out annoying crap that made Three Puppies have the voice of an angel.
And Graham.... [censored] Burned Man, Hanged Man is the real deal. :disguise:

I guess we just have different opinions then.

Fallout 2 was horrendous then? I remember that kind of zanny humor, but you liked it

Chaotic evil = No personality, I dont want that in Fallout,

...Hey Dinosaurs, remember how you [censored]ed about Mothership Zeta?
Remember those rants? About mindless exploration, epic loot, ridiculous enemies and a bunch of linear shoot'em'up missions?
Remembered them yet?
Okay, keep those in mind when Lonesome Road comes out.
And when it does; I want you all to look back at HH, OWB and LSR and compare them to Dead Money and F:NV then compare them to MZ.
Then ask yourself "Am I being too lenient towards these three cause Obsidian made them?"

Just saying.

Cause I'm beginning to wonder yknow, a lot of us bashed MZ like crazy but when HH and OWB follow the same concept just with less aliens people are suddenly accepting it and actually loving it.
I just find it strange...

No, you don't need to find it strange: every DLC lowered the challenge and raised the lulz.
In other words, turned NV into FO3, wich is A BAD THING.

Yes, the story is better, but who gives a f***, the game isn't playable anymore without mods.
Obsidian, you are full of crap. :banghead:

Well too bad more people aren't like me and just enjoy about 95% of the game with all its faults and what it does and doesn't have. Some people will just never win I guess.

How do you think the game 'isn't playable'? I find New Vegas quite enjoyable. I used to enjoy 3, but New Vegas seems to be advancing civilization, Fallout 3 seems so stagnant in this squatting in the rubble of the Old World. But, I suppose to each their own. I enjoy all Fallout games myself

Edit: I'm not insulting you, I'm just curious why you feel one is terrible against the other :)

Win as in get what you want, not winning in the game itself.

I thought this thread was about the new screenshots. Instead, like always, we are making useless comparisons between Mothership Zeta and god knows what. Oh how these threads always get off-topic :sadvaultboy:

Oh and @whoeverismaking[censored]comparisonsbetweenmothershipzetaandoldworldblues please quit making usless comparisons between Mothership Zeta and Old World Blues.

You are wrong because you do not agree with my thoughts, now I tell you why MZ is like OWB, it has enemies and stuff.
