Look what we have here

http://www.bethblog.com/2012/11/20/dooms-classics-arrive-on-psn/ It seems they are releasing classic doom including all the stuff they didn't (Master Levels, Final Doom) in the BFG edition on PS3 AGAIN in a new package.

This is blatant milking of the series at this point, it's just sickening. But thats not the best part! Nope, these versions are censored just like the BFG editions. (Evidence by a comment by Gstaff on that blog post). It seems that nothing has been learned by the drama of the last month, they didn't listen and don't care.

Please Bethesda and ID, keep digging your graves deeper.

Not much else to say on this, comments and opinions on this from anyone?

Wait, wasn't the BFG Edition ALREADY released for PS3 as well? If not, this is really disappointing to see Id and Bethesda do this..

What is the point of this vapid rerelease?

I'll be damned if my comment I posted on it is not approved.

Indeed it was, which is why I called it "blatant milking" of the series :P

while this is not that good for Id, are we sure the decision to do this came from Id & not ordered from higher up in the food chain like Zenimax?

That's hard to say, but there is certainly evidence that says that ID might have drunk the Bethesda/Zenimax koolaid.

Doesn't this mean they are no better than the CoD milking Activision and the sports games milking EA?

*sigh*

My respect is dropping to critically low levels..

Can't they just offer final Doom separate? This is shameful.

They do on Steam for $4.99 but somehow the Master Levels price vanished for me, both logged in and out.

How I yearn for the olden days of Id when they still had a great rep..
