Since I am one of the few people who actually likes the tile-based UI of Microsoft's Windows 8 and the upgrade fee at the moment is ridiculously cheap, I see it as only worthwhile to upgrade to Windows 8. Besides checking out all my favourite software works and that drivers will be available, my only main concern is that my current laptop doesn't have a touch-screen for input. However, I had a suggestion about using a touch mouse, which if designed for Windows 8 will allow you to pull of all the gestures that you would normally do on a touch-screen on Windows 8. Anyone know of a good touch mouse then that offers physical left and right mouse buttons, along with the ability to perform basic gestures (swipe from left, etc) that should allow Windows 8 to work better without a touch-screen?
