Not to suggest you forego this playstyle, by any means. Just note the way some of the characters are designed around a backstory. You will find these people to be among the best Role Players out there.

Why not try a priest character? My character was a Priestess of Talos - a restoration mage with a bit of illusion and destruction. She spent her time tending to the various Shrines of Talos across the province, and visiting other temples to the Divines.

But remember, roleplay is more than just sticking to a 'build' or doing some tasks. It's about your character's history, personality, choices and story. My character, Alessia, waged a silent war on the Empire, who she believed had betrayed her parents who had died in the Great War. She disrupted Imperial plans wherever she could, and made herself friendly with the Stormcloaks.

I have roleplayed quite a bit and most of my characters do have backstory just looking for some inspiration.

Interesting I never thought about a priest character I do have a vigilant of stendar character but having a priest character who wanders to those shirnes in the wilderness often sounds very interesting.

It's a fun playstyle - very different to most I've done. Alessia avoided combat as much as possible, with the help of illusion spells, but ended up hated by the Thalmor to the point that they sent hit squads against her ...

The Vigilant are an interesting bunch. Have you got the Dawnguard DLC?
