Looking for new wife.

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 10:08 am

I been married to Ysolda and just recently ditched her.

I am looking for a wife that maybe has some more dialogue with kids or just in general.

anyone have any suggestions ?

Can be non combatant.Matter of fact I doubt I would want to adventure with my wife.

prefferably not someone that looks like an ogre either.

What do you mean by 'ditched' her? Each character can only be married once, even if the spouse dies. If for a different character, I don't think I could help you with a wife, sorry!

Welp.thats a silly way to put it I guess/

Using console commands I reset the marriage questline.

I did this before actually having someone else in mind. Now I am going to different towns and cities looking for something new.Seems like there areactually very few options.Probably going to use some type of mod to open up options. Was just curious if anyone had a good suggestion or are all "wives " basically all the same?

Ah, ok! Well like I said, I can recommend husbands but that doesn't help you, lol! Personally I like having a good combatant spouse/follower, but then I like having the option of saying 'follow me' at the drop of a hat, depending on where I plan on going or just feel like company. I've read about various wife glitches and wish I could help, but you will likely get some suggestions today. You might research this list:

Thnx Andra.

Thats the best sight for console commands and ID's.I married Miuri and am going to give it a try(not that I am excpecting all that much).I just really like NPC interaction/immersion.I am sure some people would consider marriage something very insignificant, but for me it really adds to the game.

When I first adopted the kids they got into arguments, brought home pets and other acting scenarios that have all seemed to stop?Figured I'de try to get a new wife, finish my home in HH and maybe try a new environment. The only option for pets the kids seem to bring hhome is thhe bunny.Cute, but I would love to see the skeever or mudcrab but whenever I try to player.moveto (crab ID) Uthergaurd runs over and kills it before the kids can even identify and ask to keep as a pet....lol

lol...silly stuff but I hhave fun with it.

That's why I love HF, it adds so much to role-playing! When it came out, my high level character built all 3 houses, got married, adopted. I learned from that, what worked for me, enough that I started a new character to really get into the role playing aspect. I have 1 house built at HH, not completely done, but close now. I am quite happy with it. I researched and found a steward that I really like, and a spouse/follower. I haven't adopted yet, but will when I have made the right choice for me. In the meantime, I haven't started any of the main questlines, I am exploring and doing smaller quests.

Some people just want to do the quest and then stop playing when done. I can't do that, there is so much more to an open world game like this, and you're right, even what some consider insignificant adds so much to the game.

I like Muiri, she's got a great story! I hope you have no bugs with her!

and hey, not silly at all, there are plenty of us that feel exactly the same! *grin*

Muiri is infamous for repeating a line about how you helped with her ... Problem over and over. Also, she has the same VA as Ysolda IIRC, so my guess is that most of the dialogue is the same. No spouses offer much dialogue once married, which is stupid IMO, they should offer more (and before people begin joking about "that's how real life marriage is", if you seriously think real life marriage means you stop talk to each other, I feel sorry for you).

My only male character so far is married to Brelyna, but she also has the same VA. She can be a follower, though, which is important to me.

Thank you! About time someone felt sorry for me.

If you like Ysolda's voice but want a follower, then try Jordis. After marriage she seems to have difficulty deciding if you are her spouse or her thane. You get both greetings.

If you want a sneaky/ranged follower, you might try marrying Jenassa. Or Aela.

Now i haven't married Aela, but my brother has and said that once he moved her out of the city, she complained the whole time. I believe other people here have said the same. Just some friendly advice. Not sure on Jenassa tho.

lol.I have hheard of Aela complaining constantly. She is my follower(I play a ranger type class-main weapon bow/1 hnded light armor only)I aalso use followers can relax so its cool to have my wife,2 kids,Uthgaurd/steward,my bard and Aela all under the same roof.Lots going on and tons of raw power to fend offr attacks(which I get quite often).

Yes...Muirri is identical to Ysolda except non essential(which I may change). Not having any luck finding pet ID's though.I want to try playermoveto &--#60;ID&--#62;...can't find them though.

Also have had tons of bandit attaacks but no kidnapping.I use an endgame mod that makes enemies scale to lvl 70.Maybe that effecting the quest. If I don't use that mod I 1 shot anythhing but dragons with a glass dagger.......lol

Thx for the responces all

Yeah, but this is only if you select a specific dialogue option. You won't have to worry about it otherwise.
