Like the title says I am looking around for something like this. I really dislike having to unequip a weapon or shield just to cast a spell. I have been sucessful into altering some of the many shouts I will never use into a functional magic spell so I can just shout a spell. But for the spell to actually start raising the related casting skill and start using actual mana with the shouts, the shouts needs to have at least 2 words unlocked on the thuum. I have been using this as a workaround for my restoration skills but it also sometimes is buggy. Sometimes while fighting I won`t be able to shout like I was silenced but I don`t see any spells or powers that interupt or are described as inturrupting shouts. Usually aslways happens at the worst times as well, not being able to shout your heal spell.

Anyway, I have combed through the ck and tried altering the spell cast properties numerous different ways and most won`t even cast the spell unless you leave it at the stock factory settings. I was hoping someone else more familiar with something like this was possibly working on has created a file for casting with weapons equipped they would be willing to share. For as cool as the spell system is, the current casting system is just as bad as the system in two worlds two where you had to equip a staff just to cast a spell.
