This is why I would rather rule a castle and surrounding countryside than a country. Because I think on a small scale it is possible to be loved and at the very least respected without being feared (except for being feared by criminals.)

I'd start a proletarian revolution to dispose with the feudal system. So none. I wouldn't want any of those titles. I hate [censored] aristocrats in any way, shape or form.
EDIT: BTW while the title of "lord" would generally be considered the lowest of those, it's the most flexible and has the most potential; for example, Lord Sauron, Lord Cthulhu, The Lord God etc. So if one was opting for maximum power that would be the desired title I guess.
Very Machiavellian. Though I think he presents more of an "either or" scenario; you can't really be feared and loved. Fear is incongruent to love.
Emperor. I'd lead a council of about 4 of the finest and most trustworthy people in the country. Management is done in the provincial level, with regions as a sub-level. Most towns/cities are autonomous except for a select imperial cities.
I'd rather be the big fish in a small pond. Preferably lord of my own little, Lichtenstein-sized demesne where I'm the boss and everyone loves me because I try to be a fair and good ruler. Likely an arranged marriage with some hot princess or at least baroness would be in the works too.
Lord. I like the title the best, and king and emperor are too powerful.
A ruler cannot rule successfully if there's no one who fears him. I once watched this program on tv about an ex-gangster leader, and he said that when people respect you that's good, but when people fear you that's when you have the power. The drawback of people fearing you is that not many will love you---then again, many rulers don't give a rats if they are loved, power is everything.
STATEMENT: I would have to go with Emperor. I would much rather be the ruler of vast armies and plots of land. That way I can easily expand if need be.
MUSE: I wonder how long it would take for the absolute power to corrupt me?
I feel I would do better as a Patrician. I have the eyebrow for it.
