How do you guys handle roleplay elements at all? I am fairly new to the series with my biggest exposure being ESV: Skyrim. Amongst the core of people I am inviting to my guild now are roleplayers. I would like to create a section of the forums for them as well as one page on our website for a hopefully lore friendly fan written guild history. Probably going to have two vent lobbies as well, the primary for for out of character like all the channels except the 2nd lobby, which would be an in character lobby.
What I am majorally trying to do is gather information on lore relevent to elder scrolls online. I guess my main stumbling block is I don't know how dark elf aristocracy works. So any site giving specific information on the dark elves or skyrim around the time ESO is taking place (as i understand it's 1000 years before skyrim) would be greatly appreciated. Yea I know I can google, but people who've done the reseach and know the content know of sites and materials you won't find ona standard google search tpically.
I will include a base synopsis.
The Wolves
A military battalion based out of Morrowind near the border to the neighboring skyrim. Founded originally as an execution force tasked with the elimination of organizations independant of the governing body that threatened the citizenry of Morrowind. Their founding principles are "Question, Protect and Avenge.". Hunters of bandits, murders, and all groups that threatened the people that normal gaurds were un-prepared to deal with. And preventing further acts of violence with prudent tactics and offensives.
Still under the guise and direction of the governing body but never formally granted peerage or dispensation standard with the rest of the armed forces due to an overarcing agenda. In questioning and hunting those who would perpetrate crimes against the people they would on occassion come across evidence linking either directly or indirectly to morrowind military or nobility. This garnered them great animosity amongst the higher social circles as unloyal to the military, or the government. Even coming to be granted the name "Knightslayers".
Their first and foremost duty as an organization was the prevention of future hostilities, the protection of the people, and the punishment of those who committed acts of violence against the people. As such they held no real loyalty to the institution of the morrowind military or government. But held some regard to the ruling body whom proved to edeavor for the sake of the people, sharing their primary goals.
5 years prior to the events of molag bol's attack The Wolves were attacked by a group of Argonians of unspecific origin. The group was highly organized and trained slaughtering the majority of the battalion. Burning the keep to the ground and slaying the commander whom died protecting it's only surviving members. Judging by the armor and equipment used by the invader's there are leads to the identity of the group, but no true evidence to link them to the crime. The Morrowind government was alerted to the attack while it was happening and did not come to The Wolves aide. Eventually they gave a statement saying the act fo violence was porbably an act of revenge and have no intent of pursing an investigation into the matter.
The group has begun rebuilding and recruiting. It's slow going but they still hold true to their original beliefs in justice. Devoting themselves to the current campaign in hopes of furthering their individual agenda, and protect the people from the rising threats in Cyrodil.
