Lorewise order of doing main QuestsGuilds etc..

When I play Skyrim I′m not really the roleplay type of guy, but I still prefer to do ''stuff'' in a ''realistic'' way. For example I only join one guild on each character since it's lore/realistic disturibing to be at several different guilds at once. (Sorry If I′m giving you a hard time understanding what my point is :P) However, I receantly purchased the Dawnguard DLC and I′ve started a brand new playthrough with a Light Armor Warrior.

My question is simply: In which order should I do The Main Story, The Companions, Civil War and Dawnguard? I think you should do the civil war early, since you start off as a low ranking soldier (A dragonborn killingmachine as you are after the main story doesn't fit in that role) So maby Civil War-Companions-Dawnguard-Main story?

What are your thoughts? How do you play the game to support the lore as much as you can? :)

Note that you have to complete Dragon Rising to advance the Civil War past the first few quests.

Companions, Civil War, Dawnguard, MQ. The Companions are fighters who train so they train you until you can join the army. Then a ex legionare hears of the Dawnguard etc...
I start low then big, or have multiple questlines open but only progress a little. My main Mage Orc, starts off as a person who almost got executed, he join the fighters guild to become more experienced with a blade and bow. He then might serve in the Legion. But I skipped that so he gets called out of the companions to help fight a Dragon [MQ up to the Sky temple] He discovers he is dragonborn and has the Dragonblood. Also the power of the Thu'um. He goes to the College of Winterhold (His father was a Knight Paladin of Stendarr and his mother a Mage) he is sort of an aspiring Mage. He learns of that then a vampire menace so joins the Dawnguard then learns of the Vampire power, he is corrupted and become the Vampire Lord. He then turns evil and is hunted down by the Dawnguard. He is then killed and sealed in a tomb that can only be opened with some special item (can't be bothered to list them) a few years later, a Dunmer Mage from Morrowind comes and unseals his tomb. That starts my next character Dravin. Who carries on what he does but in a different way.
I got the idea of him because I wanted to change my Orcs race. So I altered his backstory a bit to change it.
That is a very very rough summary of his backstory. Basically I just start up small then go big or tie quests together then turn evil.

I'm doing a Thieve's Guild/Dawnguard/MQ playthru without the CW - I'll be doing Season Unending instead. I'm doing them all simultaneously and they converged at one point where I had to go to the college for all three questlines. I don't think it's essential to do one after the other.

Hmm.. Sounds pretty Interesting :) I will probably do Civil War in the middle of Companions :)
