Lost Esbern and cannot find him again (transporting him from : V

So I was to transport Esbern from the Thalmor Embassy to Riverwood, but I lost the guy and now I cannot find him again. The arrow points to Riverwood so he could be anywhere.... I have no saves that's not 10 hours back

My journal says to transport Esborn, and when I speak to the "lady" in Riverwood whom I'm supposed to deliver Esborn to, she yells at me for leaving him alone when Thalmor is after him.

Fast travel how? I don't know where he is

I've gone to the embassy again but I couldn't find him (and couldn't access the area where I rescued him)

EDIT: SORRY MY MISTAKE. I've remembered all wrong, it's the guy in Riften.

Did you read the dissertation on Esbern and the Thalmor report on Dragons? These tell you that Esbern is in Riften. Esbern is not at the embassy at all.

EDIT: So, do you still have a problem?
