I have a problem where I had the girl fighter from White Run as a follower, accidently stole something, got caught and paid the fine.

That teleported me to Dragonreach, and I lost my follower. When I go to the tavern, she is there again, but she won't be my follower because she says I already have one.

Can't get a different follower either, like the assassin from the Druken Huntsman. They say the same thing.

Same issue here, did you find anything.
I have no follower but I cant hire a new one.
