It sounds like you weren't there enough for him so he ran off with some wolf-girl hussie to me.

Don't be surprised one day when you open your Skyrim mail and find divorce papers inside!

Look in the local pub.
Nah just joking, but i dont know, its probably a bug,or try to wait a couple of hours and see if he is in your house then, also members of companions will g and hunt sometimes, dont know if they still do that if you are married to one of them

Apologies in advance for no constructive answer to your problem, but to be quite honest this sounds like the age-old "Going out to buy cigarettes love, will be five minutes".....:/

He still counts as one of the leaders of the Companions right? That misc quest that directs you to speak with one of them for work sjould pinpoint his location.

I married Aela and i discovered that you have your own little gps on them, just go to your quest page and activate the quest "ask companion leaders for work" will give an arrow right where he is, you'll never loose them again.

Farkas might've gone random hunting with his shield brothers. Just hope he hasn't gone hunting for another lass.
