Ok, so there are three, right? I got one (for the hammer), and then another for the shield. But now, none of the side-quest-giving NPCs (Florentius, Gunmar and Sorine) in Fort Dawnguard are giving me the "How can I help?" dialogue prompt, nor are the latter two referring me to Florentius for work. I am up to the Kindred Judgment stage of the MQ for the Dawnguard. Did I need to get them done before a certain point in the MQ? Am I waiting for something to trigger the last Lost Relic quest?

Just wondering if anyone has info on the timing/sequencing/triggers for the last Lost Relic quest.

Oh, yeah - I also never got A Jarl's Justice from Isran. Did I blow it with these quests or will I be able to do them after I finish the main Dawnguard quest?

All he's got is the start of the Kindred Judgment quest. No other dialogues. I just wanna know - before I go any further - if I've blown my chances at the two aforementioned quests, Lost Relic (#3) and A Jarl's Justice, or if they'll still be around later.

Here's what I've found, and hope it saves you some headaches.

- Complete ALL 6 of Sorine's crossbow quests first. Every single one
- Afterward, only ask Sorine for quests. Since she'll be out, she'll send you to Gunmar, Florentius or Isran
- Note, however, that Sorine will send you randomly to the other three quest givers
- Save before asking and reload until you get 1 or 2 in a row from Gunmar
- The reason: Florentius will only give you the Relic quests after a certain number of Gunmar's have been done
- Return to the quest giver for reward, SAVE, then ask Sorine...AND ONLY SORINE... how you can help
- Like the quest given? Complete and repeat. Not to your liking? Reload and try again

I say only ask Sorine for good reason.
It's quite possible that asking Florentius or Gunmar will have them send you to Sorine, even though you've completed all her available crossbow radiants. This will leave quests that can never be completed (much less never should have been given) cluttering your misc quest log. Gunmar and Florentius' quests, save the 3 relics, can be repeatedly performed. Hers, however, are limited to the 6 crossbow schematics.

I've found doing it this way to be the quickest method of getting the 3 relics.

Argh - it may be too late for me then - I just banged out the MQ and upon my return Gunmar and Sorine send me to Florentius, who is giving me his third Rescue quest - at least its not my wife this time (like it was the first two - geez - some luck, eh?). Alright, I'll see what happens.

First Dawnguard character took about 20 misc quests before obtaining all 3 relics.
My second got them within 10-12.

It's a random numbers game with these. Save, ask Sorine, reload, rinse and repeat. The Rune War Axe is most definitely worth the effort.
You'll be fine.

I chose a different method to get the relic quests quicker: always check with Florentius after doing a Gunmar quest. Florentius may a) send you back to Gunmar, give you a rescue quest, c) send you to Isran, or d) give you a relic quest. I did this after doing 5 quests for Sabine and one quest for Gunmar. Took me about 12-13 quests to get the axe.

Alright. Guess that, like the Companions' Totems of Hircine and Purity quests, you either need a system or the patience to run repetitive quests. Waited it out, did a few more Gunmar quests, and then finally got my last Lost Relic quest. Still waiting on the Jarl's Justice quest...
