I got the book needed to start the quest but when i try to read it, it won't work so i guess its just a bug. Can someone please give me the console command to start the quest?

Yeah, it's a bug.

To add the quest in your journal, enter setstage DLC1LD stage. / Look at the bottom of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Lost_to_the_Ages to see all the stages available, then replace stage with the one you wish to advance through.
