I play on PS3

Ended up marrying Lydia and used to leave her selling stuff at home mostly...
Decided to take her as a companion for the Crimson Nimroot quest and she suddenly disappeared while I was dealing with the two frost trolls at the east end stairs by the water...
I basically killed every living soul looking for her at no avail, also travelled outside to see if she would show up but "nothing"...
Read a little online and tried looking for her back at Dragon's Reach, or at the house and in the Whiterun catacombs. NOTHING!!!

I also read after some time a messenger is supposed to show up with a letter that says I can re-marry but she has been missing since level 19 and I'm now level 42, I already gained Jordi as a houscarl companion, but even after wearing the amulet for a couple weeks she still doesn't like me enough to marry me IOI...

Could this mean Lydia still stuck somewhere???
