Never seen such a fooked up support as from Id software and as from AMD!

First one week of trying to get that indy game to work called Rage.. Neither Id or Amd are doing anything to get their customers satisfied with this stupid game and doing some DECENT support!! Then after all this time i finaly get that Indy game to work and then it keeps crashing..... So i trashed the graphic card it was a ATI 5830 and trashed that stupid indy game called rage .... Feeling much better tbh So basicly Id Software and Amd ya can both kiss mie ass!! not the left cheek and not the right cheek but straight in the middle ya up to no good amateurs!!! They worked over the weekend for patch 1 - patch 2 will be much bigger.


AMD as well - this is an OPENGL game , such complex games on OpenGL don't get released every month ... Rage being ... like the only game , dunno anything else.

I seriously hope you are correct , Its been more than a week since release and i still cannot get past the freakin intro ( Dual Core user)

if u are using dual core still u need to upgrade, that was so like 2 years ago, i mean u can get like a 6 core for a 100 bucks from amd

Honestly, everyone just needs to be patient. In the end it will be worth it AND it will be a much better experience than the console versions. I am just as anxious as everyone else. I am on here EVERY day hitting refresh in hopes to see a thread about a new patch.

True have some faith in id they will fix this I just hope the next patch will work on Rage sound. Not sure what it is but we use Ventrilo when we game and when we go into Rage the volume in Vent goes way down and you cant hear anyone in vent unless you up the volume for each person And this is not a fix , as soon as you come out of Rage your ears get blown out when someone talks in Vent I have never seen this in any game just Rage

This is exactly why pc gaming is dying. Just because you can't stick the game in and play immediately then everyone and everything svcks. Yes there is a problem with the ATI cards that require you to flash your vbios(a process that can brick your computer if you don't know what you're doing) and update your drivers. A process that takes all of half an hour. Did you even try to do anything? If you can't be bothered to do simple updates maybe you should buy a playstation.

BTW: My only "advice" was to by a playstation.

No PC gaming is dying cause of developers like id treating PC version like [censored] , Only caring about the Consoles . I spent at least 5-6 hours ( Distributed upon the last week ) tryin to fix it , Nothing works for me ... And seriously , Last time i checked , I was supposed to Download/install/play , there was never a spend hours fixing [censored] between them. I have not been in PC gaming for too long (Since 2005 or 06) but i have never seen such a much anticipated AAA game that was so [censored] up upon launch that like 80% of community were not able to play it.

That is incredibly bad and misguided advice. You really need to refrain to posting such irresponsible nonsense.

People most certainly do not need to flash the BIOS of their graphics cards. What they need to is wait and hope that id and AMD/ATI can come up with proper driver support so that the game correctly recognises their graphics cards and fully uses them.

Please don't post "advice" that may harm people's hardware should they unwittingly follow it.

Yet more misguided nonsense. A Dual Core processor is sufficient to run this game. An E8400 paired with something like an HD4850 sits well within the minimum specs for playing Rage. It's nothing to do with whether a CPU has two or four cores. It's to do with graphics card driver support. Particulary for ATI cards although some Nvidia users are also having problems.
