I Love The Art Style

Game looks amazing, thank you Beth! Hero engine is going to do this game justice. It has that special charm. I'm so excited for this. It's about time this series branched out.

I'm glad that someone likes it...

I can't get the vibe of that monstrosity Fable 3 to get out of these screenshots though...

I dont!

I've seen screenshots and if you were to mix them with screenshots from other generic fantasy MMO's, I probably couldn't pick them out unless there was a landmark item of sorts (IE ordinator helm).

The environment looks intriguing, but so far the characters are looking a little to typical MMO like for me(weird extra armor pieces that make no sense). Still, a lot can change with the way the game looks, and I have to admit... I ironed a little when I saw that Ordinator.

At least we see they are sticking somewhat to how things have looked in past games. The Ordinator was obviously in a city with a similar style to Mournhold.

I hate the armor designs I'm seeing.
Low-cut animu and LOTR derived.

Architecture is even more cartoony/comic-y than I thought they would do too.
The Ordinator
Barely resembles prior Ordinators save for the helmet. They animu/LOTR-ed the ordinator Armor.

Like I said, these things can change as the game develops. I remember SWTOR looked cartoony as hell at first, but now the style looks much more refined IMO. Still stylized, but less [censored] for the most part.

Main thing, express your concern over the art style, in an objective and constructive way, and we can make sure the devs understand our concerns.

Bethesda isn't making this.

The art style reminds of an updated version of Guild Wars 1. More realistic, as opposed to games like WoW and GW2. Though, it's really nothing new, pretty generic.

-shrugs- I don't concern as much with the graphics, as long as they keep the diversity that you would find across Tamriel. As in, my Morrowind better be a wasteland covered in dusty ash, mushy looking monsters, and giant mushrooms.
I want them to design the game off of the descriptions in the Pocket Guide to the Empire. Cyrodiil was mostly jungle (somehow it became a sparse forest for Oblivion)

I think it looks fine though I do agree that the pointless armor additions could use a chop. Just give me some good solid mail and leave off the added pointy bits.

It's TES by way of Kingdoms of Amalur, and I don't like it.

(Though I did like KoA, but that's got nothing to do with this)

Hero engine makes me want to claw my eyes out, it seems far to cartoon like for my tastes. When they said it would look like ToR... I didn't realise... :(

The end of TES for me. I've been saying it for years, the moment they make a TES MMO I'll be done with buying their games new. I'll be buying the next TES game used.. no longer supporting Bethesda.

MMOs svck, plague on society.

First thing I thought of as well. I'm hanging around until there's more info about the game as I'm hoping there's more to it. But I'm not wowed by the art style and the mechanics looks stale. So I dunno.

Some of it looks great, like that Nordic styled city, but overall too cartoony and WoW derivative (who would have expected that?).
