I have a Khajiit mage. One of the things that the khajiit get is a bonus to hand-to-hand combat on account of their claws. This would be all well and good, but... you can't improve by hitting things with your fists (claws). Seeing as Skyrim uses the advancement of skills to determine levelling, and the fact that hand-to-hand has no governing skill whatsoever, there's absolutely no benefit to playing a hand-to-hand character. Why do the khajiit have this bonus in this case?
Another issue I have is with the magic. I currently have a number of items that restore magicka and provide bonuses, but it's either that I'm running into enemies that die in one hit, or I deplete my magicka before I can even scratch them at all. I've ended up just running at any magic user with my claws before they have a chance to bend me over. Thing is, I'm not improving by doing this. I know you have to be smart with the schools, but what about someone who just uses a one-handed weapon and light armor. Is it a necessity for them to switch off to two-handed and heavy armor for them to actually be effective? It really seems like the magic is more of a supplement to a fighter and not something that you can do exclusively and that kinda makes me sad.
But yeah, other than that, the game is immersive and tons of fun, I'm just... dying a whole lot.
