We love you Bethesda... We do

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:17 pm

Who loves Bethesda? I DO!! But come on Bethesda! I am an Xbox player. But I believe that PC should have gotten Dawnguard first. THEY MADE THE ELDER SCROLLS FAMOUS!!! Todd Howard needs to understand what he is doing to his longest fans. Personally, I don't think Morrowind should have come out for the Xbox. The Elder Scrolls should be a PC exclusive. Elder Scrolls was MEANT for PC. They are going to lose a lot of fans if they keep up this pace. Just sharing my mind. I'm sure this will get locked because of spamming or whatever those moderators say.

Every console copy of the game sold results in the PC dying a tiny bit more.

I wouldn't expect The Elder Scrolls to be The Elder Scrolls by the time of the next game, it'll just be another generic mindless hack-n-slash "press X to win" game without any perceivable depth, character development or world immersion.

Pc should be an after thought

Zenimax and Bethesda know this - pc numbers go down year to year - people can not afford pc gaming computers but most have consoles

where are the numbers that pc was less in sales? Because of im not mistaken the pc sales theyve given dosent factor in steam sales at all since steam dosent release sales numbers on the games they sell. Also if im not mistaken, skyrim sold more copys than any other game steam has every sold in lifetime sales. Just saying and throwing that out there.

You are a dike. If the Elder Scrolls is going to be on all systems, PC should at least get DLC first.

You are taking the DLC thing too personally.

I wonder if anybody is thinking of starting 100's of Dawnguard release date threads just to troll the moderators and give them work. I won't because I already have one strike on my account and I don't want another.

If it wasn't for consoles the series probably would have died with Morrowind.

Also has the most resale of all the systems, and this business practice doesn't excite XBox users but does piss off PC and PS3 players. So yes that's bad business. It's also a bad business practice as it discriminates against groups of your customers. Now don't get me wrong, I love Bethesda — they make some really incredible games, but this idea is bad for business and should be treated as such; and by closing all these topics they're just going to get the people to rant elsewhere, spreading the bad PR.

The numbers people have quoted do include steam sales - the numbers come directly from bethesda/zenimax and stated include steam figures and they know the numbers steam sales (steam cant keep sales figures from bethesda)

Steam may not provide numbers to general public

People always make this claim about steam but they have no proof to back it up - we get the 'it is widely know, steam does not release sales figures'

Console users could make the same argument - facts are facts - it is just sad that pc users cannot accept it( why? who knows?)

The GBA is what TES was meant for.

Joking aside, I will be amazed if people are still making these kinds of threads when Dawnguard comes out for the other platforms. TES has had handheld games, by the way. There was also going to be a PS2 version of Redguard. Bethesda never has been a PC only company. The PC was just what had the right tools for them to use when they were making Arena.
