Low-end performance mods?

Has there been any talk of performance mods for lower end computers, like Oldblivion for Oblivion? Cause i'm not sure whether my computer will run this.

There will be. You will just have to wait.

Most likely will be. You can probably use the developer console to turn more things down/off.

I won't be modding the game for a few days after release, and I bet many others won't either. But don't worry, there will be performance mods in a few weeks/months time.

Well, my only fear is that the game won't even start on my 256 card (which was the case with the space marine).

Your fear was officially confirmed about a month ago when they released the minimum requirements. You need an upgrade.

Well, fortunately the minimum requirements turned out to be BS and the game runs just fine on my computer.

Anyone who is planning an upgrade for Skyrim, you don't necessarily have to after all...

Ooo, really? Sounds hopeful. I can play Fallout 3/NV with high settings at 1920 x 1200. Is Skyrim more demanding or comparable? Oblivion IS more demanding than Fallout 3, but I'm hoping Bethesda's optimisation is getting progressively better as their games get prettier.
