Yep getting close to 60 with a single card so crossfire is definitely having issues for me.

What are your other specs? Should I be worried my 6870 2GB is going to struggle?

This is not good news :(

Just build a new pc with crossfire, I hope there is a fix for this and soon.

Edit: indeed which CPU do you have? I have a i7 2700k @ 5ghz with my crossfire set-up and expected to run the game with everything maxed.

i5 2500k
6970 crossfire (overclocked)
8gb gskill ripjaw ram

sorry guys but it is definitely the crossfire.. game runs silky smooth on single card and like [censored] on crossfire. Guess we have to wait for drivers.

It was stated in a few articles there is no out of the box support for crossfire so I'm not sure if we need a patch from bethesda or AMD or both.

Glad I followed the advice of the folks in the Tech thread, that crossfire's not really worth it / asking for trouble.

Crossfire is the problem, thought you were saying that it's a GPU heavy game. I'm sure support will come soon.

I wouldn't go that far... if you have 2 powerful cards you play with one in situations like this and wait a week max for crossfire support then blow everyone else out of the water with performance. I had ZERO issues with battlefield 3 so I can't complain yet.

Any dual card solution is a bad idea, althought it is a solution for low budget, many games don t support it well or at all.
As SKYRIm was done for console then PC, it was to be expected that support for this would be bare minimum, you guys probably will have to prey for a patch.
BF3 is a diferent beast, its a PC game ported to Console, so spport was to be expected.

And as one company director sayd, AMD drivers have so many run around to work as they should, they turn to be a nightmare for developpers.

Well getting 60fps on average with a single card so it hasn't ruined my experience. This wasn't a thread to [censored] or discuss crossfire it was just to warn others what to expect.

I don't know of ANY game off-hand that doesn't take at least some advantage of a dual GPU setup.

But you guys with the SLi/Crossfire setups - YOU KNOW, or SHOULD know by now that we need to wait for a profile before xfire/SLI works best.

It's like this for every game. Sure sometimes profiles come out before the game hits stores, but that's 1 out of every 2.

I have an SLI setup, and I know there's a 50% chance I'll get a profile before the game, a 50% that I won't see it until a few days after it comes out.

Also, keep checking EVGA. They usually release SLI profiles before Nvidia does for SLI at least. The community is also bound to find an existing profile that plays well with SKyrim. Just might take a few hours.

I guess like other games well get an update from AMD/Bethesda to support it.

To the people saying crossfire isn't worth it I totally disagree, there used to be a case for this a while ago when scaling was poor but scaling is great now with 2 cards, above this it's bad though, so stick with two cards and you'll have a great experience in most games.

Anyway back to witing for 11.11.11 :celebration:
