Low quality pip boy textures

For some reason the textures on the pip boy are so low you cant read the text on it. I have every setting maxed out.

my specs are:

Windows Vista home premium 32 bit - service pack 2

Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 250 proccessor 3.01GHz
RAM: 2.00 GB
graphics card: Ati Radeon Hd 5670 - 512mb

resolution: 1920X1080

(drivers all up to date)

Do you by any chance have ant aliasing/anisotropic filtering enabled in both the game menu and your graphic card menu? If so, disable on or the other. I had this problem once in Fallout 3 and that turned out to be the cause, I suspect this is no different.

Thanks, that worked great. I didn't realise I had those settings on in catalyst.
