Lower taxes!

Post » Sun Aug 04, 2013 8:04 am

Hello all, first time posting on forums, (altho I'm usually sneaking from thread to thread) just want to gauge various reactions to an idea I thought would be a nice gold sink for the game.

So as you progress through the game you will of course come across some well earned septims from distressed merchants, lazy lords and of course the war effort.

So here is my pitch, you earn gold and in doing so the magical faeries(tax and census) record a % of earnings. When your noble warrior is crowned emperor he has the ability to spend gold for repairing roads - x to move speed on roads. Better medical vacinities- % healing over time. Resupplying war effort etc..

Stolen gold and items would be exempt, but perhaps people with bounties would not profit from bonuses. The possibilities are boundless and would add more creativity amongst the community.

P.s sorry for the long post

lol @ " long post "

Sound's good the Emperor could do more than get a title.

In saying that... I don't know exactly how its gunna work. Whether the Emperor is given to 1 Megaserver... or if its battlegroup instanced? and it's a'lot of extras to add for 1 player at any given time.

Lastly... i'd rather him be too busy in PvP or however he got that title 24/7 to hold it, rather than playing the sims... but that's just me.

I loled at "sims" comment

In tradition with Tes choice, action, consequence is what i love most about this series.

i just like the idea of an emperor who was hated because he lost all taxes because "I'm feeling lucky! Place it all on that guar with the limp" ;)

Time traving currency retroactively produced throughout all of Tamriel's eras by Talos Stormcrown. Why do you think you find em in Dwarven, Ayleid and Nordic Ruins that have been closed since befofe the Septim Dynasty?
