Lucky 38 Executive Override

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:42 pm

There seem to be several computer terminals throughout the game (I know I've found two or three in my current playthrough) that have an option to perform a "Lucky 38 executive override". The wiki doesn't seem to have any info on this other than that these consoles exist, what do they do?

save your game before you do it and if you dont like what has been done, reload your prior game..

As far as I can tell, all they do is "unlock" (remove the hacking requirement) the terminal on the Lucky 38 Casino Floor.

Spoiler warning.

It also bypasses the need to hack the terminals to get to Mr. House up in the Penthouse level in case you're wanting to kill him. Go to the left of the massive terminal where you speak to house in the Lucky 38 and there will be a smaller terminal that opens up the entrance to the secret room where House is cryologically frozen. The executive override allows you to enter here without having to hack the terminals.

Ah, that seems odd that it's just seemingly placed in random terminals in the Vegas area. Thanks.

Just a thought. I haven't tried it yet. but I knmow if you place the Followers bug inside the casino its deactivated. Perhaps if you place the follower's bug on one of these executive override terminals it might not get found out. Again, just a thought. Next time I get there I'll try it out.

I encountered a lucky38 override terminal in steel house near the fiend territory not knowing what it does. Does this mean I HAVE to kill mr house? Is there no turning back??

I turned it on and found no effects what so ever.

You never -have- to take any course of action until you see a bunch of 'Quest Failed' messages which indicates you can no loger get those quests because the faction hates you, In the main quest the game warns you quite a bit by putting within the quest that oif you support this faction everyone else will want to eat your lunch and then force the bento box down your throat.

I didn't collect any of the overrides on my last playthough, and don't recall any difference in the Lucky 38 as to when I did.
