Lydia died, didn't respawn?

Post » Tue Jan 22, 2013 11:06 pm

So I completed a quest for the Jarl of Whiterun, wich resulted in Lydia being assigned as a Follower to me.
I wanted to 'test' her fighting skills and took her to raid a dungeon with me. She was killed by the Falmer, and never respawned. Over 10 days of ingame time have passed. I checked Breezehome and Dragonsreach, but she is nowhere to be found. Any advice?

Named NPCs don't respawn, you lost her for good. However, followers should become unvulnerable to enemy atatcks whenever their health drops too low. At that point they are kneeling down and regenerating health. If that happens enemies won't kill them, but YOU still can kill them with friendly fire.

So you probably killed her yourself.

Aw sheet. Why did they make her so bloody useless? Shouldn't she be unkillable?

Aah, that explains alot. I probably killed her in the chaos of battle, thanks for clearing that up.

She is protected, like any follower.
This means that when they are out of health they will go down on one knee and enemies will ignore them.
Usually it means they are out for the duration of the battle.
They can still die however, from traps, friendly fire or enemy wide area attacks that accidentally hit them.

NPCs can be resurrected on PC.

You can give your followers improved equipment and healing potions to improve their chances of surviving.

With a few exceptions, you can kill any follower in the 'chaos of battle'.
